Specialist generator manufacturer Newton Derby has continued its commitment to innovation and technology by providing a key component for a revolutionary turbocharger system.
The all-new hybrid electric turbocharger system is being built by technology company Aeristech, and once launched will offer significant improvements on current turbocharging technology including absence of 'turbo lag' along with reduced CO 2 emissions in automotive vehicle applications.
Newton Derby developed the stators within the turbochargers, allowing Aeristech to produce a prototype to encourage investment from automotive manufacturers and tier-1 suppliers. Initial feedback is very favourable, with several major German manufacturers working closely with the team.
