Newton Derby is at the forefront of power generation for the rail industry with several flagship projects delivered over the past few years. These include projects for Metronet Rail, which is responsible for upgrading, replacing and maintaining two thirds of the London Underground.
This understanding of the unique environments faced by the rail industry combined with the skills of Newton Derby’s team and that of its sister company Winder Electrical means that the company is ideally placed to provide a total generation solution.
Typical products supplied include DC motors for mining locomotives up to 75kW, and main and auxiliary alternators, provided as fixed or variable speed.
