In the Second World War the ignition systems to the Rolls Royce Merlin Engines in World War II Spitfires were provided by Newton Derby Magneto.
Newton Derby’s association with the military extends almost as far back as the company’s origins itself, with Frederick Newton inventing the first wind driven aircraft generator in 1918.
Today Newton Derby benefits from nearly a century of experience in providing products specifically designed to cope with the extreme conditions that military environments go hand in hand with, and its products have seen service across the world on land, air and sea.
